About the memorial: The Hurdsfield Ebenezer United Methodist Chapel was built in 1865. It closed in the late 20th century and is now a private house. When the building closed, the war memorials were removed to Higher Hurdsfield Sunday School, but since that building’s closure in 2015 these memorials are now in Christ Church, Bridge St, Macclesfield SK11 6EG. Christ Church is a redundant Anglican church and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust and the Roe-naissance Group. It is open to visitors at advertised times.
