1914 1919 THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED BY THE RELATIVES AND FRIENDS TO THE GLORY OF GOD, AND IN SACRED MEMORY OF THE SPROXTON MEN WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR. [NAMES] GONE TO HIGHER SERVICE. THEIR NAMES SHALL LIVE FOR EVERMORE.
