About the memorial: A large scale coloured map of Salisbury and its environs on a backboard , coloured pushpins denoting the home address of each citizen who served and died in WW1 , accompanied by four typed laminated a4 sheets , the first with the commemoration , the remaining three listing by surname those who died with no service details but with their civilian address . All on a large wooden easel . This memorial could easily be moved , confirmation obtained from Church Warden that it might be moved within the church but will not be moved to another location . wef Feb 18. A decision as to where to preserve this item is still being considered.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
