THE EAST WINDOW AND THE CLOCK IN THE TOWER WERE GIVEN AS A MEMORIAL OF THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918 IN WHICH THE FOLLOWING MEN FROM HINTON ON THE GREEN JOINED HIS MAJESTY'S FORCES. THESE DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY THESE SERVED AND RETURNED
