About the memorial: Three-stepped square base surmounted by a square sectioned plinth, square capstone & gable-roofed wooden figure of Christ on the Cross, facing towards the Church. Incised inscription around a banded upper part of plinth, names on front face & further inscriptions on front faces of top & middle steps. The whole memorial is surrounded by a kerbed paved are Unveiled: 28th May 1921 General The Lord Horne GCB KCMG ADC Dedicated Dr. Norman Lang - Bishop of Leicester ;
