About the memorial: Two wooden Roll of Honour boards hanging in the gallery of the church. The IWM Register entry states that the boards were formerly in Swaffield and Sons Auctioneers in the Town Square. 317 names, The breakdown of returned and Fallen is not given. The two boards are said by the IWM entry to be both from WW1 but close examination leads to the thought that one might be WW1 and the other WW2. The only way to be sure would be for some local person to research the names.
