About the memorial: This memorial has a timber veneer over a composite material. It was designed to complement the stone memorial to the fallen of World War 1, which sits immediately above it. It is divided into four panels, bordered in red. It was unveiled in November 2015, by Enfield Grammar Old Boys Association, in collaboration with the School. At very top of board a small white attached panel bears the arms of Enfield Grammar School (red cross on white background) with 'Founded 1558' above and the motto 'TANT QUE JE PUIS' below. At top of board: IN MEMORY OF STAFF AND OLD BOYS OF ENFIELD GRAMMAR SCHOOL WHO MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE 1939-1945 At bottom of board: When you go home, tell them of us and say, for their tomorrow we gave our today Below the board, on a separate metal plaque: The above Memorial Panel was produced thanks to the efforts of Mr H.W. Mabbott (a Master of this School) and Mr D.C. Cooper (Vice-President of the Old Boys Association). Funded by generous donations from members and friends of the Association
