About the memorial: this cross stands on the path approaching the church. It has a 2 stepped base, then a shaped block supporting the shaft of the crucifix. Unfortunately any wording has been lost. It does have poppy wreath and small crosses near the base and the church staff confirm that it is indeed a war memorial
