About the memorial: Landscape orientated chamfer-edged marble tablet attached to a wall mounted streaked grey marble backboard. Incised inscription infilled with black paint. Regimental badge design in relief with raised gilded motto lettering, located at top left corner. Design comprises a crown surmounting the capital letter "A" which is pierced by a cross. Two traversing zig-zag banner scrolls depict the regiment's motto. At the base of the design is the Yorkshire rose.
