About the memorial: The memorial is the heating apparatus in the church which is commemorated on a brass plaque. It was installed in memory of the donor's father and his brother who died in WW1. It is unknown whether this apparatus still exists. The brass plaque does.

The heating apparatus in this church was placed here by Reginald Pexton of Whixley Grange. To the Glory and Honour of God and in memory of his father William Pexton, 40 years Curchwarden, died, 4th June 1915, and of his beloved brother Harold Pexton. killed inaction at Gibeon, German South West Africa, 27th April 1915.
