Location: Internal
Setting: Inside a building - public/private
Description: Board/Plaque/ Tablet

  • Stone Marble
Lettering: Incised

  • Second World War (1939-1945)
About the memorial: Stone tablet bearing a gilt Star of David and incised inscription in Hebrew and English script. Presented by Ernest and Sally Marshall in honour of their parents, killed in Auschwitz. The IWM Register entry from which this is taken gives no address, but there appear to be two Yeshurun synagogues, this one and one in Cheadle. I have chosen this one as the photographer, Mr Sugarman, is a noted Jewish writer who appears to live in London.
