Status: On original site
Type: Non freestanding
Location: External
Setting: Attached to a building/structure
Description: Board/Plaque/ Tablet
Materials:
  • Metal Bronze
Lettering: Raised
About the memorial: Stated by IWM Register 76380 to be on the wall of the Red Lion in Crawford Street, but this seems to be an error as press photos show it on the wall of the A Hume country clothing shop. As the inscription says, the narrow street was known as "the Dardanelles" so was an appropriate place to commemorate Kelso's Gallipoli veterans and casualties.
