About the memorial: Large brass plaque on oak backboard. The Foresters' crest, a stag's head and crown, below which the names. and inscription. Lettering on in black and red with a scroll border. The building has been demolished - much of Waterloo Road is modern. The building was originally a church but was taken over by the Ancient Order of Foresters in 1914 when a new Methodist church was built. There is a photo of this building in 1971, but no sign of it on google street view. The Ancient Order of Foresters is now the Foresters Friendly Society , HQ in Southampton, who are likely to be the only source of information on this memorial.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
