About the memorial: The former church is on a side road to the north of Elcho Park, with the turning just to the west of the Rhynd Garage. The Scottish War Memorials Project (see link) cites as follows - "Kinross Advertiser of 5th July 1924 states that a handsome lectern was presented to Rhynd Church by JMoncrieff Wright of Kinmonth as a war memorial for the parish. Names listed were: Peter Macdonald John Macdonald both sons of Peter and Mrs Macdonald,Manse Cottage George Scrimgeour son of Alex&Mrs Scrimgeour,The Old Manse Matthew Aitkenhead Leggatt Wester Rhynd " The fate of the memorial is unknown, though the SWMP speculated on Dunbarney Church
