About the memorial: Scottish War Memorials Project reported that there was an Article from the 'Courier' of 1919 stating that a brass war memorial bearing over 100 names of lads who made the ultimate sacrifice was placed in the vestibule of the YMCA in the city. The property is now owned by Dundee Voluntary Action Group and was refurbished in 2000. The writer visited in October 2012. It is not in situ and staff have no knowledge of its existence.
