About the memorial: Maternity Home built as a memorial. Demolished but plaques survive. Original plaque bears the Arms of the Borough a Castle abovea Yorkshire Rose, the whole surmounted by a scroll bearing the Motto "Audacter et Sincere". A portion of the plaque has been blanked out with a rivetted piece of metal.
