About the memorial: Marble Tablet. The club went into liquidation earlier this year and the building has been up for sale, with a sale due to be completed on 27th June 2018. One of the liquidators was concerned about the memorials plaques still being held in the building after the sale had completed. She had contacted North Lanarkshire Museums, but they had been unable to take them due to a lack of storage space. The Scottish Military Research Group agreed to take them into short-term storage until a suitable location within Wishaw could be found to put them back on public display. The War Memorials Trust was advised of the situation and they are aware that the SMRG was willing to look after them in the short-term. The two plaques are therefore now in a safe storage location and the SMRG will shortly be contacting various local bodies in order to identify the best way to move forward and to ensure these two plaques are on display for the people of Wishaw in future.
