About the memorial: Several miles east of Doune on the Dunblane road. In the same compound as the SAS memorial. Three parts Upright polished stone (NN 75287 00345) with LRDG badge and "THE LONG RANGE DESERT GROUP / THEY SHOWED THE WAY". Large rock with lines cut into it to represent the tracks left by LRDG vehicles in the desert (NN 75289 00350 Polished stone lying flat "NN 75288 00354" with "1940-45" and 48 names. This is quite weathered and difficult to read.
