About the memorial: This is a memorial to young soldier from Alford who died of gun shot wounds in Northern Ireland on October 1st, 1972. This memorial was placed in the church sometime after November 1996, when it was discovered that the stone lettering on the Town memorial for the fallen from the Northern Ireland campaign was becoming damaged.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
