About the memorial: Two brass plaques, one large (WW1) and one small (WW2) , inside a wooden frame. Both plaques have a border of etched thistle, and the WW1 plaque also has a lion inside a wreath above the inscription. 12 WW1 names, 7 WW2. Formerly in the Post Office in Murray Place in the town centre. Stirling District covered Stirling, Bannockburn, Bridge of Allan, Callander, Dollar and Gargurnock.)
