About the memorial: Lych gate with associated wooden tablet. There are several places i Wales called Sarnau and both the IWM register and the compiler of this entry got them a bit mixed up. This lychgate is at the parish pf Penrhos church a couple of miles north of Sarnau in Montgomeryshire.
