About the memorial: 20 bed men surgical ward within the hospital with dedicatory scroll-shaped marble tablet in mosaic style. Inscription in gold lettering. Second dedicatory tablet placed in the vestibule outside the ward. Large coloured arms of the city of salford in the centre dividing the legend from the inscription. The Ward is gone as the original location Salford Royal Hospital, Chapel Steet closed 1993. Plaque and Tablet removed and relocated to Hope Hospital, Stott Lane,Salford which was renamed Salford Royal Hospital. Put in Store. Current location unknown.
