Colonel John Finnis / 2nd Punjab Infantry) / who died of wounds received in action / whilst gallantly leading his regiment / in the attempt to relieve / the garrison of Kut / Mesopotamia / January 13th 1916 - aged 45 / "I have fought the goog fight."
