About the memorial:
To provide and place a memorial tablet on the south wall of the Parish Church of Asgarby, to be of Brass mounted on Oak about one foot six inches by about ten and a half inch, and is to bear the following inscription: "In Memoriam, Private John William Camplin, 10th Batt, Lincs. Regt., who laid down his life in the Great War 1914 – 1818"

Plaque is now at the eastern end of Nave, on corner where Nave narrow’s to join Chancel & it faces north-west. Not on the south wall as stated in faculty.
