About the memorial:
Roll of Honour :- the roll is basically a dark wooden rectangle with the long sides mounted vertically, but there is an additional triangle of wood at the top of the rectangle with the point uppermost. The edges of the roll are slightly raised above the centre section, which is the roll proper and consists of black lettering on a slightly darker wood than the surround. To the base of the roll is a decorative wooden addition, while to the top centre (apex of triangle) is a wooden carving (Prince of Wales feathers?). To each side of the roll, at it's top edges where the sides of the triangle begin to rise, is a wooden carving which I was unable to recognise. The roll is mounted high on a wall and dimensions were difficult to measure and are not guaranteed, they would appear to be 51cm wide at the base, 92cm high at the lower points and 122cm high at the apex of the triangle.
