About the memorial: To provide and place a War Memorial on the South wall of the Chancel of the Parish church of Barholm in memory of the parishioners who lost their lives in the Great War. Memorial is to be of Wood painted and coloured, about four feet in height and about two feet in width. Faculty Book 13, page 510, dated 13-4-1920. Highly ornate board with figure of St George killing the dragon set within a canopied niche in the centre. Inscription in gold lettering, on scrolled background, flanks the figure. Gilt cross is at the top of the left hand inscription and an identical cross is at the base of the right hand inscription. Height – c130cms Width – 75cms Depth – c17cms
