Sacred to the memory of Henry Ching Midshipman H.M.S. Shannon, youngest son of John Ching of this parish, who died of yellow fever at Port Royal, Jamaica 17th Dec. 1863 aged 18 years. This window is erected by the Offices and Crew of H.M.S. Shannon as a tribute of their esteem and a parting token of their regard. It is the Lord, let him do what seemeth good.
