About the memorial: Catalogue Reference EPH 2269, Imperial War Museum. Previously in the Chapel, RAF High Wycombe, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. A bit confusing. Said to be a battlefield cross, but the IWM catalogue describes it as made from wooden propeller blades, and has no photo to clarify the point.
