About the memorial: White marble pointed topped tablet with crossed rifles and artilery gun at top, centre, a monarchial crown, top left, and a Peaked Cap, top right. Mounted on two corbels and stone backboard. 64 served and returned. 12 Fallen. The building is no longer a mill but has been modernised for other purposes as a piece of architectural heritage.
