About the memorial: Bronze Plaque in the Church Porch. The Porch itself was built as a memorial to the two sons of local manufacturer William Schlutze of Brunswickhill, who died near Amiens in the war. Above the porch door is a carving-Le Beau Dieu - an exact copy of that above the door to Amiens Cathedral
