Roll of Honour or Book of Remembrance
- First World War (1914-1918)
About the memorial:
Preprinted proforma with names either handwritten or stencilled. In elaborate wooden frame with flags of the allied nations at top. Regimental insignia and pictures of soldiers and a sailor. Symbols used to indicated those killed, wounded etc. Note end year of the war was never added. There are two Rolls of Honour, the other is definitely from the Church of Scotland Parish Church so this probably came from the Free Church when it closed. To find the church - Path from crossroads across from former Free Church. Parish Church is set back from road between two burns. Gates to churchyard. Centre of village.
