About the memorial: Celtic style cross on a short shaft, a tapered plinth and a wide base. It was not then a hotel but the cross was refurbished in 1991 by the owners of the present hotel. Pin position approximate within the grounds of the hotel but there are directions - Take the pathway beside the wooded area to the car park and the memorial is at the far end of the pathway.
