THE MEDINA BOROUGH COUNCIL This plaque is to record the sincere appreciation of the residents of East and West Cowes to the Officers and Crew of the Polish Ship THE "BLYSKAWICA" who on the 5th May 1942 bravely and seflessley defended the town against enemy air attack and thereby reduced the casualties and damage caused by the air raids.
