About the memorial: Originally unveiled on 14 December 1920 at Parmiters School, Bethnal Green , London with second world war names added in 1950 the memorial was moved to the present school in 1977. "The memorial is of handsome and imposing design, and consists of three brass tablets, framed in oak, carved to represent laurel leaves. Oak pillars support each side, and over the centre is an arch in which has been fashioned a laurel wreath"

The middle section has the inscription "Pro Patria" and below are the arms of the school and on the middle plate the dedication: (original) Inscribed hereon, that they may be held in proud remembrance by those who come after, are the names of old boys of this school who fell in the Great War, 1914-1918 (2018) In proud remembrance of Old Parmiterians who fell in two Great Wars and Afghanistan addition
