About the memorial: Stained glass window In the East wall of the nave at the South end. (This church is aligned North-South.), featuring the figure of St. George. A single light stained glass lancet window with semi circular head depicting a robed figure of St George with sword, shield and staff and standing on the defeated dragon with an inscription in upright capital lettering on a scroll below. At the head of the light is an image of the tree on Oker Hill which would be visible through this window were it not obscure glass. At the foot of the light a broad scroll carries the main inscription in upright sentence case lettering. The maker's mark is on a small piece of glass in the bottom right of the light.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
