About the memorial: Single-stepped square base with chamfer-moulded upper edge, surmounted by a square sectioned and panelled plinth with an under-moulded top platform and square-sectioned, tapering obelisk interrupted by a decorative, moulded waist in a relief of four, three-quarter spheres at corners. Plinth panels include incised inscriptions and names all infilled with black enamel paint. The whole memorial sits on a square paving stone area enclosed by a decorative flush red paving brick perimeter. Adjacent, is an associated metal bench incorporating a decorative backrest comprising four soldiers, barbed wire and to the right, six abstract poppies.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
