Whether the single casualty of a cattle rustling expedition represents a valid war memorial is a moot point, but the IWM accepts it, so we will.

THE LAST LEWIS CLAN BATTLE 1654 / BETWEEN THE MORRISONS OF NESS / AND THE MACAULAYS OF UIG / TOOK PLACE ON THIS COAST. / THE MACAULAYS WERE RETURNING TO UIG / WITH RAIDED MORRISON CATTLE WHEN / CAUGHT IN A BLOODY AFFRAY. / THE SURVIVING MACAULAYS WERE PURSUED / AS FAR AS UIG, WHERE THEIR LEADER / ZACHARY MACAULAY WAS KILLED.
