About the memorial: Gravespace delineated by four chamfered kerb sections with headstone standing on top kerb, space heavily vegetation contaminated. Headstone is undecorated horizontal rectangle with inscribed, self coloured lettering and an undecorated small foot extending horizontally forward from entire width of base.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

THIS STONE IS ERECTED IN SACRED AND LOVING MEMORY OF MY DEAR HUSBAND WILLIAM BECKETT AND HARRY’S DEAR DADDY, WHO WAS WOUNDED AND MISSING SEPT 16TH 1916, IN THE BATTLE OF THE SOMME AND LATER PRESUMED DEAD. CHRIST WILL LINK THE BROKEN CHAIN WHEN WE MEET AGAIN.
