About the memorial: Vertical rectangular grey stone with half round top and checks falling to Scotia shoulder, sides drop vertically. Undecorated except for dedication in black lead letterings.

In Loving Memory of ELIZABETH, WIDOW OF THE LATE JOHN WYATT DAY, OF WOOTTON, WHO DIED 31ST OCTOBER 1910, AGED 76 YEARS. ALSO OF HER SONS JOHN FREDERICK OF THE RHODESIAN REGIMENT WHO FELL IN THE SOUTH AFRICAN WAR 13TH APRIL 1900 AGED 38 YEARS. AND ROBERT WILLIAM OF THE LINCOLNSHIRE REGIMENT WHO DIED 2ND MAY 1897 FOLLOWING SERVICE AT MALTA AGED 22 YEARS. RESTING IN PEACE.
