About the memorial: Vertical rectangular grey stone with basically oval top and checks dropping to rounded shoulders, although shoulders disrupted by circular stylised shell decoration. Stone narrows below shoulders to fall vertically before widening slightly towards base, stands on chamfered horizontal rectangular foundation. Large recessed panel at top extends slightly down sides and shows flower and leaf decoration, small stylised flower head in circular panel to each side beneath main one. Dedication in black lead lettering
