About the memorial: Gravespace delineated by three rough hewn square kerb sections and headstone to top, space is vegetation covered. Headstone is rough hewn vertical rectangle with oval top and straight sides, stands on large horizontal rectangular base. Stone undecorated except for smoothed centrefield containing dedication in inscribed self coloured lettering.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

Gordon Leslie Spencer. Lance Corporal 30768. 64th Brigade, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry), formerly 22398 East Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action 26th September 1916. Son of Joseph and Christina Jane Spencer. Born 1893 Hull and enlisted Hull, YKS. Missing and commemorated Thiepval Memorial. Pier and Face 5C and 12C.
