About the memorial: Rectangular brass plaque with names listed in two columns. Inscription in black and red lettering. Ornate incised border around the plaque formed of thistles with leaves and knot work patterns. A shield with the flag of Scotland on it is at the bottom centre of the border. At the top centre is a shield with a coloured union flag to the left and the Scottish flag to the right. Plaque is mounted on a marble slab.
