About the memorial: The Memorial Hall was built on the site of the former Sunday School of St. James’ Church. It became the Village Hall for the parish and after the Great War a War Memorial was established in an exterior lobby. Square Plinth Surmounted by Plain Latin cross. Dedicatory Inscription on the Front Face of the Plinth and Names Four Separate Stone Tablets Placed On the Wall behind The Cross Four panels carry 57 names and at the centre is a cross is mounted on a block of stone with the following dedication:
