About the memorial: On the east wall is a Wood frame with glass front containing 66 named photographs of those who served in the 1939 – 1945 world war, size 915 x 1110mm, The corners of the frame are extended to form a cross, with a floral style carving at the centre of the cross. A similar, but smaller, carving is placed in the centre of each side of the frame. This is a private photographic collection on permanent loan to the village for as long as they wish to display it. It is owned by Alf Daubney of the village and was compiled by his father. If the village no longer wish to display the frame it is to be returned to the family
