About the memorial: UTTOXTER ALABASTER SHRINE OF THE ENGLISH MARYRS. DEDICATORY STONE ON THE SHRINE. THREE IMAGES WITH FIGURES IN ON THE PANELS ON THE SHRINE CENTRE PANEL HAS AN IMAGE OF CHRIST THE CONSOLER. AT HIS FEET ARE FIGURES OF THE ARMY, NAVY AND AIR FORCE. ON THE RIGHT IS A PICTURE OF ST JOHN FISHER BEFORE HIS JUDGES AND ON THE LEFT IS ST THOMAS MORE TAKING LEAVE OF HIS DAUGHTER, MARGARET ROPER, IN THE TOWER OF LONDON.
