About the memorial: Two part stone with decorative element butted directly to dedicated section. Decorative part is large vertical rectangular vase with square top to central section, vase proper in top, three smaller stone rectangles to each side descend in steps until sides drop to meet horizontal rectangular foundation stone. Central section has large Latin cross inscribed. Dedicated part is grey stone rectangle with top against vase, all edges are recessed to form raised centrefield which contains dedication in black lead lettering, now partially missing. Moderate lichen contamination to both sections.
