About the memorial: This white marble memorial is in really good condition, the names standing clear and proud. It measures 800mm wide and 360mm in length. At the conclusion of the morning service in Willoughby parish church last Sunday, Canon J.S. Warren, the Rector, unveiled and dedicated a memorial to the men from the village who have given their lives during the war. The Canon delivered an appropriate address; this taking the place of the usual sermon, and a few short prayers brought the service to a close. The memorial, which has been designed and worked by Mr. F. Skinner of Alford, consists a marble tablet fixed on movable trusses Lincolnshire Chronicle, dated 29th November 1919
