About the memorial: Tree and plaque dedicated to Lester Cockerham and Crew Took off 1315 Wickenby, tasked to bomb a military barracks at Nordhausen. Presumed lost off the Dutch Coast. Keeble washed ashore 16th June. Bomber Command Losses, Volume 6, page 151.
