About the memorial: Two boards on inside West wall of church. Large brass plaque above for WW1, smaller wooden board below for WW2. The wording and placement make the WW2 board a contimuation of the WW1 memorial so it is a single entry here though the IWM Register has se[parate entries. WW1 - Rectangular plaque with a square extension on the top edge and set on a marble backboard. There is a latin cross at the top and a black border with the names in three columns in black lettering. WW2 - Wooden board, rectangular, no ornamentation. A small shelf below has a name plate for a merchant seaman.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
