About the memorial: To provide and place a memorial tablet on the west wall of the nave of the Parish Church of Walesby in memory of those parishioners who lost their lives in the Great War Tablet to be of Grey Marble about one foot eight inches by about one foot three inches. Faculty Book 14, page 186 The War memorial tablet was dedicated and unveiled on Sunday 17th April 1921 by the Rev. C.S. Neville, the Rector of Wickenby The tablet of white and grey marble with black letter has been erected 160cc above the floor on the west wall of the nave; it measures 800 by 600mm (2feet 7inches by 2feet), the cost of which was raised by public subscription Market Rasen Mail & Lincolnshire Chronicle 23rd April 1921
